Authentication Manual Override

Authentication Manual Override

The Authentication Manual Override (AMO) form is used to manually change passwords or authentication roles. It can be launched either at the end of the Authentication Wizard or through the Change Passwords button on the main console.

The Authentication Manual Override form

The AMO is primarily used to change or set passwords for individual accounts. It is highly recommended that users do not use the AMO form to manually set the authentication roles for a migration. Instead, users should complete the short Authentication Wizard to ensure that the correct accounts are being used for each role.

To make changes to the authentication accounts:

  1. Enter the new username and/or password in the fields provided.
  2. If this is a domain account, enter the domain name in the Domain field. If it is a local account, check the Local Account checkbox.
  3. Click the Set button beside the Authentication Role to which the new information should apply.
  4. Repeat for each change to be made.
  5. When finished, click OK to save the changes and close the form.
