Add New Profile Migration

Add New Profile Migration

The Add New Profile Migration form is used to add a new source and destination profile pair for migration. To add profile pairs in bulk, you can import the user list from file.

The profile pairs can be added in the format Source User -> Destination User or Source User SID -> Destination User.

If migrating User to User, the source and destination usernames cannot include the domain name -- it must be the username only. The source username must exist in the source profile context. Alter-Ego does not create usernames. If you wish to attempt to migrate all profiles on the client PC without specifying individual user pairs, you can enter '*ALL' as the username. The destination user is automatically assigned the value '*ALL' as well.

If migrating SID to User, the destination username must again be username only. It cannot contain the domain name. The source SID is the SID of the user account which will be used for the source profile. Source SIDs should only be used in particular circumstances. We highly recommend that you always use User to User migrations when possible.
